Due to the fact that i thought the PS3 is codefree, i bought one from
Japan.
Unfortunatelly when i tried to play a PS2 US-game it says "due to region conflict the game can not be started"
How can i handle that if the PS3 is codefree.

I'm pretty sure they decided in the end not to make the PS3 region free. You may need to import games to play, or chuck your console on eBay closer to christmas and try and make your money back, then invest in a US version.

that sucks, would suck to have to get games from diff country
