There is a thread here about the screen being too small foe games which I disagree with.

But I do think its too small to watch high quality movies on.
What do you think?

I wish it were bigger. But then I could not carry it around.. so for its size its acceptable.

But i find my eyes straining especially on longer movies.
Maybe i need glasses, i dont know. But its certainly not a replacement television.

That is the big problem or portable consoles - The screen size. If it's to big you can't carry it around, if it is too small you just can't see

I think the screen is pretty good. From what I can tell everyone I know that has one loves it

I think the screen is just the right size and hell if people can watch movies on those ipods then the PSP is like 3 times bigger.

haha I think if you really wanted to enjoy a movie, it's best on the television screen with entertainment system.

It would be nice if it were bigger but I think that it is fine for watching movies because if people can watch a movie on an ipod or their cell phone, a PSP screen is a nice step up.

What in the hell do you think DVD players are for? I think that movies should be played on a television screen, where people can actually see what is going on. Not on a little screen, where most of the graphic engineering is lost.

If you're traveling and don't want to carry around a portable dvd player or laptop, then the PSP's screen size is decent compared to the other options mentioned. But really, if you can watch a movie on a big screen television with a DVD player, why would you choose the PSP over that?
