Default PSPs.... The real reason they didn't have kiosks at the stor

Went to TRU last week. They had a PSP... People would walk up to it, all
giddy.... sit... sit... start pressing random buttons... shake it... cuss
and walk off. I wondered what was wrong...

They had ATV in it... The think just loaded so long that people walked off.

Guess they didn't want the impusle buyers that had to have the system sight
unseen to see the system... Guess all those people have one, so now they
can afford to show the system and get anyone that still might want it
despite the load times.

Just my two cents. I could be wrong, but it's unlikely.

Is it just me or does that not make sense?

in short, there are no PSP's lying around in the shops because people are put off by the long loading times. I have to say if they could get it to load faster than the real playstation that would be impressive as the graphics are pretty amazing for something you can put in your pocket!

Most of the times i go into a shop i find "OUT OF ORDER" signs taped to the front of trial consoles, and I ask myself, what could possibly go wrong? Surely the manufacturers could provide some very quick loading demo games to supply with display models as to impress unsuspecting shoppers?

The Nintendo DS has lightning loading times on some games and that pushes people towards it, but arent they forgetting that the games being played on a DS are cartoon animations wheras on a PSP they are proper physic 3D models? Wow. Some people! Just load up UT2004 on my laptop and you could have a couple o' pints at the pub before playing!

Yes, though I figured they just didnt want people standing there all day playing the PSP.
Ive seen every other console in the kiosks, and have never seen an out of order sign.

I never thought the loading times would mean the PSP isnt on display, but it does make sense!
It would be bad for marketing if people saw how long the loading times were.
