I just wanted to say, I own a xbox 360. I love it!! I haven't had any problems since the release. I'm really looking forward to the release of the PS3. From what I have read so far, comparing the specs of the xbox and PS3. The PS3 will definately have faster graphical power and framerates. How much better will it be?? Nobody will know until we see some actual gameplay/demos. I've been playing the playable Fight Night Rd 3 demo since it's release. For those that have not had the honor of playing this game let me sum it up in one word.......AWESOME! I dont know how any game concole or PC can make the graphics any more better. I'm the type of person who has to "play it" to believe it. I've seen the screen shots of PS3 games and to be honest I can't say they look better than the 360. But one thing is for sure, both of these consoles (when sony does finally release it) are atleast a year or two away from reaching the full potential of the system. When that time comes, just sit back with a smile and enjoy your gaming goodness.

Let's face it, the show-down is by no means over. the 360 is still brand-new.. the games, still no where near their peak.

Without playstation 3 to compete with, of course the games are lacking. When ps3 is out the market will change. development wars will arise and we will see both consoles producing content well worth consumer cash.

We can also be comfortable in the fact that once ps3 is released, 360 owners will pick it apart just as we're doing with xbox.

My personal opinion is that xbox let too many problems show up too soon. By trying to be "first of the new generation" they may have sealed their fate as the least-capable of the new-gens.. ?

the ps3's specs arent much better than the 360's

the ps3 supports blu ray (50-75 is what there supposed to use) which makes the reader very expensive by its self
($400+)
it has a 550mhz graphics card
(+sereiously wonky controllers 3+ miles long)

360
supports hddvd doesent hold as much (40 gig) but costs half the price
has a 500mhz custom graphics card (slightly better resolution)
has 3 custom ibm proccesors (means it can handle more because 1 does graphic ect
(nice comfy buttons) (smaller)
and the best ALOT more reliable than sony

my ps2 broke in a week of me buying it the replacment lasted 2 months
so i bought the very much better system the xbox which has lasted me nearly 5 years

so it should actualy be called ps3 suck because it shite

and sorry xbox 360 is better

Fact 2: Despite what most GR Members and Sony fanboys think, the PlayStation 3 wasn't delayed because Sony wants to perfect it, it's because sony was having technical issues.

Fact 3: At the moment their are only 5 PlayStation 3 developer kits in North America. Their are tons of developers who need, why only 5?

Fact 4: Multiple Sony developers have stated that Xbox 360 is superior considering the fact that the PS3 is being released months later.

Fact 5: Sony doesn't have a global online service, they just throw an ethernet port on the console and leave the rest up to the developer.

Fact 6: The videos you saw and thought were gameplay aren't actually gameplay. The public has not seen any working PS3 console yet alone PS3 gameplay. Like Killzone 2 was a trailer on PC, its not even running on the freakin PS3.

Fact 7: Hideo Kojima (creator of Metal Gear Solid) said the Xbox 360 could handle all of the games currently being made for the PS3.

Fact 8: The Blu Ray's sole purpose in the PlayStation 3 is to give the Blu Ray technology a lead in the upcoming DVD format war.

Why do the Sony fanboys defend the PS3 with such a passion? It hasn't been seen or played yet, nor is it released. Personally I like all consoles, but it really pisses me off to see people defending a system that hasn't even be seen yet. So be open minded, don't insult the Xbox 360, and don't defend the PlayStation 3

the only reason why i want to get an xbox 360, is for elder scrolls and thats it. i really dont care about any other game on the system. it may be good and all but my money is going towards ps3. i think sony makes better games. regardless of how powerfull the system is or isnt.

Dude no, What happned between PS2 and Xbox will not happen with PS3 and Xbox 360.
First, your grand theft auto and Final fantasy series are not a PS3 exclusive any more, and your Grand Truismo series is not what it used to be any more, like I thought that GT4 sucked and was very similar to GT3! Its just not as popular any more, Like if you play Forza for the xbox then you will know what im talking about, GT seires was the bomb back in the days but now its not even worth buying, Also Socom 3 was a big letdown and I think it messed up the excitement of the seires.

Now the good games, Metal Gear Solid 4 is gonna be good!, God Of War 2 sadly is gonna be a PS2 game, see so what other hit titles are you talking about?

I loved my PS2 for only 2 games, MGS 2&3 and GTA seires, thats it.
Dont be a fan boy, I have an Xbox, and PS2, and a game cube, and Im not defending any thing, XBOX WAS BETTER THAN PS2 just dont discuss this, every game looked better on the old xbox, all grand theft autos went to xbox with better graphics and frame rate, even though Xbox had less titles but still I loved them more than PS2's....

for the next Gen, Xbox 360 and PS3 are both very similar and have Positive and Negative points in terms of hardware. I am not gonna discuss which hardware is better because its not possible, its hard to tell whether 7 Dsp Little processors running at 3.2GHZ would be as fast as 3 X 3.2GHZ processors working togather, as I said there are ups and downs in the situation and we cant really tell till we see the games and judge for our selves.

about me, I bought an Xbox 360 not too long ago and I am satisfied with every penny I put in it, and dont pull out that fake ''Xbox 360 overheats stuff''
since that Xbox 360 is a very powerfull system, it needs to be placed in an open space where it can cool its self down, I went to my friends house once and he had his 360 placed right against the wall where the air vents are, this is what causes a system to over heat, and dont tell me, I know a lot of Xbox 360 owners are very uneducated in electronics and dont know how over heating goes.
Will I buy a PS3? yes because I love to own all video game systems, and I wont judge which is better till I have it in my hands

its a matter of opinion really. im not dissing xbox 360 by any means, because i want one. im just saying that i dig sony more and thats all. i just really never got into the origanal xbox.

Console War? There is no war the PS3 hasnt even been released yet. So while the so called PS3 fanboys are harping on about how good the PS3 is were still sitting in front of the 360 with a massive grin on our faces as we land a haymaker on Jeff Lacys face in Fight Night Round 3.
Those guys are bragging about(PS3) and dismissing things(360) they havent even experienced yet. Its apathetic bull$hit.
I'm not going to say the 360 is better than the PS3 because I dont know yet, I'll just sit on the fence and wait till the damn thing is in the shops before coming to any conclusions. If its good I'll buy it. If its not as good as the 360 I wont bother unless the price drops.
The only thing people have to go on so far is rumours. Sony is playing its hand close to its chest and from what ive seen from E3 they are gonna have a lot of work on thier hands to compete with microsoft.
I'm not convinced Blue Ray is the way forward and last time sony had a hardware war on such a defining scale was the Beta and VHS war And we all know what happened to Sonys Beta Max. If Blue Ray doesnt take off Sony will be joining the Ranks of Sega and Atari.
All I can say is that this kind of competition can only be good for us consumers as both Companies are work thier bollocks off to bring us the best they can to beat the opposition.
